Council Activities

Students participating in Student Council learn about representation, voting, planning and carrying out projects, and working on behalf of the school and its members; all of which are integral parts of a Student Council.

Some of the many activities and lessons learned are:

  1. Conducting Student Council meetings
  2. Understanding office and representative positions
  3. Putting ideas into action
  4. Understanding committees
  5. Preparing for individual class meetings
  6. Working with the principal and staff
  7. Working with parents and other community members
  8. Learning parliamentary procedure
  9. Carrying out service projects
  10. Planning and conducting all-school activities
